Host Brazil defeat Russia 7-0 and remain undefeated at the 2008 Futsal World Cup. It was Brazil’s third straight victory, keeping it at the top of Group A with nine points, three more than second-place Japan, which beat Solomon Islands 7-2. Russia and Cuba, have three points each.
A victory against Cuba on Wednesday in the team’s final group match will guarantee Brazil advances to the next round. The top two teams in each of the four groups advance.
