Drinks

Brazil has a refreshing variety of drinks including beverages; fruit juices and alcoholic cocktails to offer.

Coffee:

Coffee is the national beverage here, served hot and sweet in small mugs at local cafes. You can also buy a cup on the streets with vendors selling it from thermos flasks.

Fruit Juices and Soft Drinks:

Brazil has an abundance of fruits grown locally and these are put to good use in a variety of juices and shakes served at most restaurants and fruit bars and are very refreshing especially in the humid weather.

There usual soft drinks are available with products from the Coca cola Company and Pepsi found in shops around the country.

An exciting local range known as Guarana is slowly becoming popular and is even available in some South American countries. The Guarana soft drinks are a range of sweet fizzy drinks with fruity flavors and some caffeine.

Alcoholic Drinks:

There are a number of cocktails and alcoholic beverages that are served at restaurants and bars around the country.

Caipirinha: this is a traditional Brazilian drinks usually served before meals. Beer served cold and wine (try some of the local produce which may surprise you) are also available.
