Brazil has a fairly developed road network, and road conditions may vary depending in different regions especially in the country’s interior. Driving is also not really for the fainthearted. Brazil has a high road accident toll which is mainly attributed to dangerous driving especially on the major highways. Inner city driving however is less terrible though you face sometimes potentially long traffic queues.
Car rental in Brazil:
There are a number of local and international car hire companies in Brazil which include; Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Alamo and Budget car hire. Some rental companies have branches situated at the major airports or you can arrange for a car before arriving here which is sometimes more convenient.
The local companies may be cheaper to hire from, though you should be wary of the car’s quality and ascertain associated costs before paying for one.
