Fernando de Noronha is a group of islands situated off the Brazilian Coast in the Atlantic Ocean under the jurisdiction of Pernambuco State. The islands were granted the status of World Heritage Site by the United Nations in 2001. Fernando de Noronha is a national park and is home to an amazing array of marine vegetation and wildlife which includes; dolphins and turtles.

The Archipelago of Fernando de Noronha consists of the islands of; Fernando de Noronha (which is the largest island), Cabeluda, Sela Gineta, Sao Jose, Rata, Viuva and Leao.

Fernando de Noronha is home to some beautiful beaches and even locals venture here for some peace and quite. Deep sea diving is a popular activity here mainly because of the clear and warm waters.
