Normal business opening hours in Brazil are between 8.30am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday in general for Banks and other major institutions and government offices, though this may vary depending on the individual business. General stores are open from 9am to 7pm on Monday to Friday and 9am to midday on Saturdays. Major shopping centers open from Monday to Saturday 10am to 10pm. You should note that Banks normally perform foreign exchange transactions between 10am and 3pm. Shops and restaurants usually close for Christmas and New Years.
