Restaurants in Brazil:

Brazil is home to a large number of ethnic restaurants with cuisine derived from; Asian, European, African and native Indian flavors. Restaurants around the country are fairly cheap and you would expect to pay between $4 and $10 for a meal at most places even those that may seem fancy.

Similar to some Asian restaurants, a number of premises here may have someone walking around with a palate of food for you to taste. You may decline this offer if you wish as you have to pay for what you eat.

Ensure you carry cash if you intend to eat out as most restaurants do not accept credit cards. Indeed a visit to Brazil can not be complete without trying their local dishes.

There is a variety of international cuisine for the homesick, though you will usually have a wider selection in the major cities such as Rio or Sao Paulo. Popular foreign restaurants here serve; Italian, French, Asian, Arab, Japanese, Portuguese and German dishes.

Rodizios:

Be sure to visit a Rodizio, which are the local buffet restaurants where you pay once and eat as much as you want.

You can also find charcoal grilled meats (especially beef and chicken) served at some of the specialist restaurants.
